How to Get the AYN Thor in Pakistan

What is the AYN Thor and who is it for?

The Thor is an Android handheld gaming device from AYN, a Chinese handheld maker. It folds like a clamshell. The top half holds a 6-inch AMOLED touchscreen, and the bottom half holds the controls with a second, 3.92-inch AMOLED touchscreen between them.

It suits you if you:

• Want a powerful Android handheld with a Snapdragon chip and physical controls.
• Like the idea of a dual-screen layout.
• Are willing to wait for a pre-order batch rather than buy from stock.

It does not suit you if you need the device next week, or want something that slips into a trouser pocket. Liliputing lists it at 380g and 150 x 94 x 25.6mm.

How do AYN's pre-order batches work?

AYN sells the Thor in numbered pre-order batches. Each batch has its own shipping start, and AYN's product page names the month each batch begins shipping. You pay when you order, then AYN builds and ships that batch on its own timetable. Retro Dodo reported in mid-2026 that AYN's waits were running at two to three months for one batch, and linked the delay to long lead times on screens.

What this means for you:

• The order is placed in whichever batch is open when you buy.
• Dispatch follows AYN's batch schedule, not ours. AYN decides when your unit leaves China.
• The usual 7 to 15 days to your door start only after AYN dispatches. So total time is the batch wait plus 7 to 15 days.
• Some versions can be out of stock. AYN's page showed the Lite in black as backordered when we checked.

How long will you wait in total?

The middle row is the one nobody outside AYN can speed up. If AYN moves a batch date, your delivery moves with it. Check the batch shipping month on AYN's product page on the day you order so your expectation is realistic from the start. If you need a handheld for a specific date, such as a gift or a trip, a model that ships from stock is the safer choice.

What are the AYN Thor's verified specs?

Lite, Base, Pro or Max: which Thor should you pick?

How to choose:

• Lite if you want the dual-screen design at the lowest cost and can accept an older chip and Wi-Fi 6.
• Base if you want the faster Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and are happy adding a microSD card for storage.
• Pro for most buyers who want more memory and the colour choices.
• Max only if you really need 512GB or 1TB built in. A microSD card is a cheaper way to add space.

Colour can affect timing too. Lite and Base are listed in black only, while Pro and Max add White, Rainbow and Clear Purple. If a particular colour or version is backordered, choosing an alternative that is available in the current batch can be the difference between this batch and the next.

Where is the AYN Thor sold?

AYN sells it on its own website. Retro Handhelds reported in early 2026 that an official AYN storefront on AliExpress also listed the Thor as a pre-order, at higher prices than AYN's own site, and that the Lite was not listed there at the time. Is the AYN Thor on Daraz, and what are the local alternatives?

The Thor was not listed on Daraz when we checked in October 2026. A search for it returned unrelated Thor toys and figures. Handhelds that do appear on Daraz are larger and run different systems:

If waiting for a batch is a problem, the Anbernic RG 477M is a single-screen Android option that normally ships from stock.

Does the Thor work in Pakistan, and does it need PTA approval?

It is a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth device. Neither AYN's page nor Liliputing lists a SIM slot or mobile network, so the DIRBS phone registration process is not the usual concern. Check current PTA guidance if you are unsure, because rules change. AYN's page does not mention a charger, so plan to use a good USB-C charger rated 100V to 240V, which covers Pakistan's 220V to 240V supply.

The ports are standard. Liliputing lists a USB 3.1 Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a microSD reader on every version, so wired headphones and a locally bought microSD card work without adapters. Bluetooth headphones and controllers pair as on any Android device. Home Wi-Fi works normally, and the Base, Pro and Max support Wi-Fi 7 if your router has it, though they also work with older routers.

How do you import one AYN Thor with us?

What should you check when the Thor arrives?

1. Version. Go to Settings, then About, and confirm the chip, memory and storage match what you ordered.
2. Both screens. Check each AMOLED screen on plain white and black backgrounds, and touch every corner of both.
3. Hinge. Open and close it a few times. It should feel even, with no creaking or grinding.
4. Controls. Press every button and rotate both Hall sticks fully.
5. Charging and ports. Charge over USB-C, plug in headphones, and insert a microSD card if you have one.
6. Warranty details. Keep the order confirmation. AYN states a one-year warranty.

Common mistakes when buying the AYN Thor

• Expecting 7 to 15 days from the day you pay. With a pre-order, add AYN's batch wait first.
• Buying the Lite thinking it has the same chip as the others. It uses a Snapdragon 865.
• Paying for the Max mainly for storage, when a microSD card does the job.
• Assuming every colour exists for every version. Lite and Base are black only on AYN's page.
• Ordering from an unofficial reseller listing without checking which batch and version it covers.
