The Truthear Hexa is a hybrid wired IEM with one dynamic and three balanced armature drivers per side, a 3D-printed resin shell, a metal faceplate and a detachable 0.78mm 2-pin cable with a 3.5mm plug. It was not listed on Daraz when we checked in October 2026, and a Pakistani audio shop we found showed it out of stock. Importing one pair is the reliable route: send the link, pay one rupee price once, and receive it typically 7 to 15 days after dispatch.
What is the Truthear Hexa and who is it for?
The Hexa is a wired in-ear monitor from Truthear, a Chinese brand. It is a hybrid design: one dynamic driver handles the low end and three balanced armature drivers cover the rest. That is the main reason people look for it. It is the common next step for someone who has tried a single-driver IEM and wants more separation between instruments.
It suits you if you:
- Listen to wired audio on a phone, laptop or PC and do not need a microphone.
- Own a single-driver set such as a Truthear Gate or Moondrop Chu-series and want a step up.
- Have average or larger ears. Reviewers consistently mention fit as a problem for smaller ears.
It does not suit you if you need calls, wireless, or a very small earpiece.
What are the Truthear Hexa's verified specs?
These come from Truthear's official product page.
| Spec | Truthear Hexa |
|---|---|
| Drivers | 1 dynamic + 3 balanced armature (hybrid) |
| Dynamic driver diaphragm | PU + LCP composite |
| Impedance | 20.5Ω ±15% at 1kHz |
| Sensitivity | 120dB/Vrms at 1kHz |
| THD | 1% or lower at 1kHz (94dB) |
| Frequency response | 8Hz to 40kHz, effective 20Hz to 20kHz |
| Shell | DLP 3D-printed resin, aluminium alloy faceplate |
| Connector | Sunken 0.78mm 2-pin socket |
| Cable | Four-strand silver-plated copper |
| Tips in the box | 3 pairs thick-bore, 3 pairs thin-bore, 1 pair foam |
Truthear's page does not state the plug type, but SoundGuys' review lists a 3.5mm plug on the stock cable. There is no 4.4mm plug in the box.
Hybrid or single dynamic driver: which suits you?
A dynamic driver is a small speaker cone, much like a tiny loudspeaker, and is usually good at bass. A balanced armature is a tiny, fast driver originally made for hearing aids. Hybrids such as the Hexa give different frequency ranges to different drivers, and a crossover inside the shell splits the signal between them.
| Point | Truthear Hexa (hybrid) | Single dynamic driver IEM |
|---|---|---|
| Drivers per side | 4 (1 dynamic + 3 balanced armature) | 1 |
| Shell | 3D-printed resin, metal faceplate | Varies, often metal or resin |
| Impedance | 20.5Ω | Varies, for example 33Ω on the Aria 2 |
| Microphone | None | Varies by model |
| Good first IEM? | Better as a second IEM | Usually the easier first step |
There is no single right answer, and more drivers do not automatically mean better sound. Tuning matters as much as driver count. If your current earphones sound muddy when many instruments play together, a hybrid is worth trying. If you are happy with a single-driver set and mainly want better build or comfort, a premium single-driver IEM may be the better spend.
Is the Hexa hard to drive?
No. At 20.5 ohms and 120dB/Vrms it reaches normal volume easily. SoundGuys concluded that a basic Apple or Google dongle is enough and a USB-C DAC or amp is not required. A better DAC can lower background hiss, which balanced armature drivers sometimes reveal on noisy sources, but it is optional. If you do want one, our guide to the FiiO KA17 covers a higher-powered option.
A practical tip for sensitive IEMs like this one: if you hear a faint hiss in quiet passages, it usually comes from the source, not the earphones. Try another dongle or a laptop's headphone jack before assuming a fault. Also keep your phone's media volume moderate. With 120dB/Vrms sensitivity, the Hexa gets loud well before the volume bar reaches the top, and long sessions at high volume are the real risk to your hearing.
The stock cable ends in a 3.5mm plug, according to SoundGuys, so it plugs straight into a laptop, a PC front-panel jack or any USB-C to 3.5mm adapter. It is not designed for wireless use, and there is no Bluetooth module for it in the box.
Which version should you pick, and what should you avoid?
Truthear's page lists one version: no colour choices, no plug choices and no microphone version. SoundGuys also notes it has no microphone. So the choices come down to the seller and the cable:
- Pick the plain Hexa. Listings titled "Hexa" with "1DD + 3BA" in the description are the correct model.
- Do not confuse it with other Truthear models. Truthear also sells the Gate, Zero:Red, Pure and Nova. They have different driver layouts and tuning.
- Want a mic or 4.4mm? Order the standard Hexa and add a separate 0.78mm 2-pin cable with the termination you need. SoundGuys notes the cable can be swapped for any cable with matching connectors.
- Know the socket. Truthear describes a sunken 0.78mm 2-pin socket. When buying a replacement cable, ask the seller whether it suits recessed 2-pin sockets.
Will the Truthear Hexa fit my ears?
This is the main risk with the Hexa. SoundGuys lists "smaller ears won't fit" as a drawback, and the cable is designed to hook over the ear. Truthear includes two kinds of silicone tips, thick-bore and thin-bore, in three sizes each, plus one pair of foam tips. The tips change both comfort and how deep the nozzle sits. Foam tips expand to fill the ear canal and often give the best seal for people between sizes. If you have had trouble with larger earphones before, start with the smallest thin-bore tips and wear them over the ear as intended. If fit is a real worry, a smaller single-driver IEM sold locally might be a safer first purchase.
Is the Truthear Hexa sold on Daraz or in Pakistani shops?
The Hexa was not listed on Daraz when we checked in October 2026. A Daraz search for it returned a Truthear Gate listing and unrelated products. We also found a Pakistani audio retailer's Hexa page showing it out of stock at the time of writing. Stock at local shops comes and goes, so it can be worth asking them first if you prefer to buy locally.
What alternatives are already sold in Pakistan?
| Option | Where | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Truthear Gate | Listed on Daraz | Single dynamic driver, smaller step up, fast delivery |
| Moondrop Quark 2 | Listed on Daraz | Moondrop wired IEM, local stock |
| FiiO JD10 | Listed on Daraz | FiiO wired IEM, listed as a gaming IEM |
| Moondrop Aria 2 | Import | Single dynamic driver, metal shell, 3.5mm and 4.4mm plugs included |
If you want the hybrid sound specifically, the Hexa is the one to import. If you are deciding between hybrid and single-driver, read our Moondrop Aria 2 guide too. Our comparison of Daraz versus importing from China helps you weigh local stock against the import route.

What should you check when the Hexa arrives?
- Box contents. Earphones, four-strand cable, three pairs of thick-bore tips, three pairs of thin-bore tips, one pair of foam tips, manual and warranty card.
- Both sides play evenly. Use a mono track or a centred vocal. The voice should sit in the middle of your head.
- Pin seating. The 2-pin plugs should push fully into the sockets and hold firmly.
- Faceplate and shell. Look for cracks in the resin near the nozzle and the faceplate seam.
- Fit and seal. Try thin-bore and thick-bore tips. The two types change the sound noticeably, so judge after trying both.
If something is wrong, keep the packaging and contact us quickly. Our guide to refunds and returns when importing from China explains what is realistic with a Chinese seller.
Common mistakes when buying the Hexa
- Assuming it has a mic. It does not, so plan a mic cable if you take calls.
- Buying a replacement cable without asking whether it suits a recessed 2-pin socket.
- Ignoring fit warnings if you have small ears.
- Spending on a high-power amp. The Hexa needs very little power. Spend on a clean, low-noise source instead.
- Ordering from a listing that does not say "1DD + 3BA" and ending up with a different Truthear model.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Truthear Hexa available on Daraz?
It was not listed on Daraz when we checked in October 2026. A local audio shop we found showed it out of stock, so importing is the dependable route.
How many drivers does the Truthear Hexa have?
Four per side: one dynamic driver and three balanced armature drivers, according to Truthear's product page.
Does the Truthear Hexa have a microphone?
No. The stock cable has no mic. You can swap in any 0.78mm 2-pin cable with a mic.
Does the Hexa need a DAC or amplifier?
No. At 20.5 ohms and 120dB/Vrms it runs well from a basic USB-C dongle. A cleaner DAC can reduce hiss but is optional.
Will the Hexa fit small ears?
Reviewers say smaller ears may struggle because the shell and nozzle are fairly large. Start with the smallest tips and wear it over the ear.
How long does a Truthear Hexa take to reach Pakistan?
Through us, typically 7 to 15 days after the seller dispatches, delivered with customs already paid.
